Nothing beats a bite of a piece of fruit picked straight from the tree, and it’s even recommended for its health benefits. At the Château Saint-Gilles, you can do just this.

With apricots, peaches, nectarines, apples, pears, blackberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants and cherries, this large open-air basket of organic fruit is yours to enjoy from spring to autumn.


During your walk through the château’s grounds, enjoy a unique experience in our treehouse, which offers a wonderful view over the natural surroundings.

Whether you’re there as a couple or as a family, you’ll find board games to play or simply enjoy a unique experience at the heart of the woods.

Century-old trees

Spanning six hectares of parkland, our grounds near Bayeux are a real wonderland, almost straight out of a fairy tale! Take the time for a long walk in this parkland dotted with various viewpoints over the cathedral and the Normandy countryside.  

You’ll be able to take a gentle stroll by following the walking trails (with options for 1, 5 and 10 km walks) stopping off at the various large wooden games and puzzles.
